For running money business with smoothness and efficiency, it is necessary for the cooperative bank to make payments by cheque. So, CB is providing a special service for its customers holding current accounts by issuing certified cheques to them.

For running money business with smoothness and efficiency, it is necessary for the cooperative bank to make payments by cheque. So, CB is providing a special service for its customers holding current accounts by issuing certified cheques to them.

  • Those wishing to purchase a certified cheque will have to open the current account.
  • And if the current account holder wishes to purchase a certified cheque he must himself submit an application.
  • As for the bank charges, at the rate of 0.5 pyar for 100 kyats, minimum 1000 kyats and maximum 5000 kyats shall be collected.
  • The validity period of a certified cheque is 30 days. If the certified cheque owner wishes to extend its validity period, he is entitled to having another 30 day extension. There is no need to pay bank charges again for validity period extension.
