SME Banking

SME Banking serves small & medium enterprises which make up of 90% of Myanmar’s business landscape, by offering banking services from SME bank accounts, payment services to financing. CB Bank also partners with government, international and supranational institutions to fuel the growth of SMEs in Myanmar. We have introduced Credit Guarantee Insurance scheme in cooperation with Myanmar Insurance and SME Development Center under Ministry of Industry.

Financial Institutions

Transaction Banking

Transaction Banking is a relatively new but increasingly important business unit that provides cash management solutions to the bank’s large corporates and other financial institutions. Cash Management solutions allow clients to have greater control over their cash, payment operations and help them manage their liquidity in an efficient manner. CB Bank’s technology-based banking platforms enable customers to make seamless payments and have the overall picture of their cash position with the bank on real-time basis and at the same time, reduce the usage of cash.

International Trade & Payment Services Division

This division specializes in facilitating the export and import trade transactions and offering trade financing to the bank’s business banking clients. As Myanmar has become more developed and connected to the global economy, the international trade services will become more crucial to the businesses. This team works closely with Corporate and SME Banking teams.

Treasury Services

This division is responsible for balancing and managing the cash flow and liquidity of funds within the bank. It also handles the bank's investments in securities, foreign exchange, asset/liability management and cash instruments.  The division is divided into three parts: front office which is composed of traders and dealers, middle office which oversees compliance & risk management and back office which takes care of settlement operations. This business unit also offers foreign exchange management solutions such as FX spot, forward and future to corporate clients.

Card & Merchant Services Division

A high percentage of payment transactions happen with transfer of physical cash notes to one another. Without the use of debit or credit cards, people will have to carry cash notes for making payments. CB Bank is the first bank to introduce international card acceptance as well as issuing of international debit and credit cards in Myanmar.    This division is responsible for managing debit and credit cards, and collaborates with international card companies such as VISA, MasterCard, UPI, and JCB. The division also initiates merchant acquisition and provide merchants with payment solutions.
